Monkstown Bay Sailing Club is located in the picturesque village of Monkstown, which overlooks Monkstown Bay in Cork Harbour.
Dingy league races are generally held within the Bay area, while Cruiser league races extend their reach up river to Passage and out the harbour to Cobh, Whitegate and beyond. Weekend events make full use of the Harbour waters, including races to Blackrock, East Ferry and Ballynacorra, and trips to Whitebay and Crosshaven.
Directions from the North Cork / Rosslare
Go through the Jack Lynch Tunnel, and drive on the dual carriageway for approx 2 miles. The second turn off from this dual carriageway will be signposted Carriagaline. Take this exit, and keep left, now following the signs for Passage West. This will take you briefly onto another dual carriageway and you should exit a slip road to the left.
At the next roundabout, take the first exit and drive for 5 miles. This journey takes you through Rochestown, Passage West, and then into Monkstown. You will see The Bosun bar and restaurant on the right and the MBSC clubhouse is 3 doors further down this terrace. The dinghy park is another 100 meters further down this road on the left hand side.
